In such moments, rub your hand to get relief.

When these tunnel syndrome symptoms appear try:

- swinging your arms vigorously for a few minutes first thing in the morning;
- keeping your hands raised as much as possible during the day;
- avoiding writing, using a keyboard or being on the telephone for any length of time;
- putting your hands in a basin of hot or cold water;
- if you really cannot stand the discomfort, ask your doctor about having splints.During pregnancy, a woman`s body accumulates a lot of extra fluid; some of this fluid can cause pressure on the nerves which pass through the wrists to the hands and the woman finds that she wakes up in the morning with pins and needles in her fingers.
